# GET /v1/xrpl/account/{address}/summary

XRP balance, sequence, owner count, transfer rate and trust lines (capped) for an account.

## Purpose

Returns the XRP balance as a decimal string, `sequence`, `owner_count`, the account `transfer_rate` (`1000000000` means no fee) and up to 50 trust lines; `lines_truncated` is `true` when there are more.

## When to use

To inspect an account before building a transaction for it.

## When not to use

Not for transaction history, reserves or account flags; it is a summary, not a full account dump.

## Caching
